 NO SHOFAR THIS YEAR!?
on Rosh Hashanah Day 1

Why is this fundamental Biblical command removed from the Rosh Hashanah Service?!

For the past 2000 years it has been in Jewish tradition NOT to sound the Shofar when Rosh Hashanah falls out on Shabbat.
The Talmud explains this is because of a seemingly minor concern of someone possibly desecrating the Shabbat.
